SOLAR ECLIPSE IN THE PATAGONIA

As you surely know the next total solar eclipse will occur on the 11th of July 2010.
The umbral shadow will pass mostly through the Pacific Ocean. the Total solar eclipse will begin at 18:15 GMT in the Pacific ocean, north-east of New Zealand, will travel across the ocean and will end as the Sun touches the Horizon at 20:51:42 GMT, in the south-eastern Pacific Ocean of the Chilean Patagonia.

Here the sun is still fully eclipsed and will last 2 minutes 45 seconds to offer a spectacular "Black sunset"(The total Solar eclipse will be exactly at the time of the sunset).

Moreover the Patagonian winter is an experience on itself: no body but you, the days are shorter but clear and sunny, and the wind subsides: also the mountain peaks are dusted with snow, but maritime weather is relatively mild, with little snow at sea level.
